Junior Girls Cricket Pathway

New to cricket or already playing? Our Junior Girls programme offers a fun, inclusive, and empowering team environment.

With support from dedicated volunteer coaches and club leaders, we focus on developing skills, confidence, and teamwork so every girl feels valued. Teams are balanced by skill and school, and we do our best to honour friend requests—fostering connection as well as competition.

Weekly training alongside our Senior Women’s teams provides inspiration and mentorship. Saturday morning games offer a fun, structured space to learn, grow, and shine.

This page is designed to give U13 players, coaches, team managers, and parents a clear overview of how the format and structure works.

To be purchased by the player but the same uniform for all grades can be worn over multiple seasons.

  • Blue Takapuna women shirt and pants, these are available to purchase at Cricket Express.
  • In 2024 we moved our U13 teams from white to blue pants. Due to this sometimes there is a  wait for smaller sizes 4 & 6 to come into store, if no blue pants yet, don’t stress and simply wear another form of dark or blue tights / sports pants. As long as you are wearing a Takapuna shirt and a cap if you have one.
  • The playing uniform is not required to be worn for training.
  • Players don’t need to kit out with all the equipment and gear straight away. Our U13 teams have full kit bags to provide the players with the necessary items to start playing.
