Girls Smash Hub
Got a daughter who would love to give cricket a go? Or perhaps she's played a little at school and wants to try something new? We're excited to introduce two fun new girls-only cricket programmes at Takapuna Cricket Club this November.
Designed especially for girls who are new to cricket or just starting out, these sessions are all about having fun, making friends, building confidence and learning some cricket skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
- Girls Smash – Years 4–6
- Smash Yard Cricket – Years 7–10
Both programmes offer fun, modified cricket games alongside some skill development. No previous cricket experience is needed, and all equipment is provided. Just bring yourself and a friend! Each afternoon will include two games and opportunities to develop cricket skills, with an emphasis on participation and enjoyment rather than competition.
When: Mondays, 2–23 November 2026
Time: 4–5.30pm
Where: Takapuna Cricket Club, Onewa Domain
Cost: FREE!
Registration is required, so please sign up using the appropriate link below:

At Takapuna, we're passionate about getting more girls involved in cricket and creating opportunities for them to enjoy the game, whatever their experience or ability.
We'd love to welcome some new faces to the club this November, so please share this with friends, schoolmates or anyone who might like to give cricket a try!
