Senior Women's Club Cricket 2026/27 season
Auckland Cricket Association (ACA) has 3 Women's Grades competitions for clubs to play in. We are fortunate with our female club numbers to field at least 2, sometimes 3 in these grades - Premier, Premier Reserve and Championship.
Premier Women
Our top-level senior women's programme, providing a performance-focused environment for players looking to challenge themselves at Premier level.
Premier Reserves
Our development-focused senior team provides a pathway for emerging players to develop their skills and transition towards Premier cricket.
Championship
Our wider senior women's programme provides competitive cricket and an opportunity for players to continue enjoying and developing their cricket at club level.

All senior players train together as a squad to strengthen our culture and ensure a smooth pathway between teams. This also provides the coaches the opportunity to evaluate players growth within the game, and supports their decision making when moving players between Premier and Reserves.
When: Monday evenings - all female teams train, starting with juniors from 4 - 6pm.
Time: 6 - 7.30pm
Dates: Pre season 7 September - mid October, move to Onewa from mid October prior to first games.
Locations: Indoor cricket nets at Massey Recreation Centre, Albany and Onewa Domain, Northcote
U16 players: For U16 development players, the focus will be on integrating into the senior women’s environment while managing training load appropriately. We’ll continue to offer U16 training for new or non-development players, to ensure everyone receives suitable coaching and support.
Other: an additional Wednesday session (smaller group based on availability) will be held each week. There is no expectation on any school cricket players to attend due to clashes with College Sport day.
Key dates for season 26/27
- Season begins for all female grades - Saturday 31 October - 19 December 2027
- Post Xmas:
- Premier Women return Saturday 16 January
- Reserves & Championship Women: 6 February
Uniform and Equipment
To be purchased by the player but the same uniform for all grades can be worn over multiple seasons.
- Blue Takapuna women shirt and pants, these are available to purchase at Cricket Express.
- The playing uniform is not required to be worn for training, however the training shirt is mandatory.
