It seems that we just can't stop scoring runs!  This week Brad Cochopa stole the limelight with a stunning 130 from just 121 balls that included a staggering 11 sixes. He had help from his brother Craig who smashed a 34 ball 53 and captain Ryan Scivier with an unbeaten 38. That allowed us to pass the 300 mark for the second time already this season. The Bays batting line-up were never able to keep up with the stiff run rate, G Read (50) and Brad Schmulian (32) being the best efforts. The win keeps Takapuna unbeaten alongside Cornwall and Parnell in the White Section.

Takapuna 330/5 (Brad Cachopa 130, Craig Cachopa 53, Michael Clark 41, Ryan Scivier 38*, Donovan Deeble 3-67) defeated East Coast Bays 177 (Graham Read 50, Brad Schmulian 32, Jason Donnelly 3-32, Mark Kilpatrick 3-34) by 153 runs.

Over at Freyberg Park the Prem Reserves unfortunately came up short. Bowling first the Reserves bundled ECB out for 216 with the ever reliable Scott MacKenzie bagging 3 for 25 and the rest of the wickets being shared amongst the bowlers -  Laurie Agnew, Micheal Tillet and Dan ter Braak each picking up 2 wickets each. In reply we could only muster 167 regardless of a good contribution from Dan ter Braak who batted diligently for 75.

ECB 216 (Scott Mackenzie 3-25, M Tillet 2-44, Laurie Agnew 2-41, D ter Braak 2-37) defeated Takapuna 167 (D ter Braak 75) by 49 runs.
